Where You Come From

Remember You Are Stardust

In your hectic day to day life, it's easy to see yourself as small, insignificant, separate. Just another fleeting human life flickering past. But at your core, you are anything but ordinary.

If you trace back far enough, you would find that the same ancient particles that formed the first cries of creation flow through you even now. The same raw materials that exploded into galaxies swirl in your cells, pulse in your veins. You are made from the residue of stars.

Let that sink in. You are not simply flesh and bone. You are formed from sacred stardust, an emanation of the universal consciousness that sparked this whole mysterious universe into being.

Somewhere along the way we forgot. We allowed the illusion of culture, class, gender, race to construct false identities. We defined ourselves by our titles, possessions, appearances while forgetting the miracles that we are.

But remembering your cosmic origins has the power to shift everything.

The next time you catch your reflection, see not just your body but shimmering galaxies. When you cradle a tiny seedling in your palm, remember you too started as sacred cosmic matter. As you gaze up at the stars, feel the reciprocated gaze of particles that still know you.

When harsh words threaten to dim your light, let the warmth of the sun awaken your worth. When fear or anger close your heart, listen for the om of the universe singing within you.

Let moments of awe remind you - a sleeping cat, an unfurling fern, two hands intertwined. Feel the cosmos dance in all things.

You are never alone for you are the universe and the universe breathes within you. You share one spirit with all that is, all that ever was, all that ever will be. Rumi said, "You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop."

Remember that always. Though the world may try to make you small, limited, rigidly defined, you never are. Your essence is infused with magic and miracles. You are a vessel of the sacred.

So walk tall, breathe deep. Glow with the dignity of knowing who you really are. You are stardust, wondrously alight.
